We are expanding our team and looking to attract enthusiastic & mission-driven people to join us on our journey.
Position summary
We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Specialist to support the commercialization and scale-up of Melt&Marble’s products.
This role combines manufacturing coordination, quality and compliance management, logistics coordination, and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with our manufacturing partners, testing laboratories, customers, and internal teams to ensure that production lots move smoothly from manufacturing through quality control, documentation, and delivery.
You will work closely with manufacturing partners, testing laboratories, suppliers, logistics providers, customers, and internal teams to establish scalable systems as we grow from pilot production to commercial volumes.
Our ideal candidate should have experience coordinating manufacturing, quality, supply chain, or operational activities within industries such as food, ingredients, biotechnology, fermentation, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or related fields. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, building systems, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.
The candidate should be comfortable working in the dynamic environment of a startup company, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and helping establish scalable systems as we transition from pilot production to commercial volumes.
Occasionally, some activities may require working outside of standard working hours. The position may require occasional travel within Sweden and abroad.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
Manufacturing coordination
Coordinate external manufacturing partners and track production from fermentation, extraction, through testing, packaging, and delivery, ensuring that materials, packaging, and labelling are ready in time for production.
Manage production-related supply dependencies: purchase/delivery timelines, lead times, backorders, and shipment readiness.
Coordinate logistics across partners/facilities: shipments, dispatch, tracking, and delivery coordination to customers.
Identify supply risks (material shortages, delayed packaging, logistics constraints, dependency bottlenecks) and proactively escalate with mitigation actions.
Quality, Traceability & Compliance
Ensure complete, organized quality and compliance documentation for each production lot.
Coordinate quality control and external testing activities, including specifications, Certificates of Analysis (CoAs), batch records, traceability, batch release documentation, etc.
Maintain traceability linking materials to batch records, test results, CoAs, etc.
Coordinate and validate supplier documentation required for compliance (e.g., incoming quality documentation, supplier qualification support).
Support continuous improvement of quality documentation workflows to reduce errors, delays, and nonconformities.
Operational Systems & Cross-Functional Coordination
Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and product flow processes.
Help establish scalable operational systems (documentation structure, release checklists, partner SOP alignment, inventory/document tracking support).
Coordinate cross-functional projects by tracking timelines, deliverables, and follow-up actions across internal teams.

Solid understanding of quality systems, traceability, and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment (e.g. GMP, HACCP, ISO-based quality systems, supplier qualification, batch documentation, or related frameworks).
Hands-on experience maintaining or coordinating quality and compliance documentation such as batch records, specifications, CoAs, supplier documentation, testing records, and traceability systems.
